Zhu Qingqiao, Director General, Department of Latin American and Caribbean Affairs, Ministry of Foreign Affairs, China. Zhu Qingqiao has been the Director General of the Department of Latin American and Caribbean Affairs at Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MFA) since 2014. He began his career at Ministry of Foreign Affairs as the Staff since 1990. He served successively as Staff and Attaché at Chinese Embassy in Mozambique, Attaché of Department of Latin American Affairs, and Attaché of Department of Latin American and Caribbean Affairs, MFA, from 1991 to 1996. He assumed the positions of Attaché, Third Secretary, Second Secretary, and First Secretary at Chinese Embassy in Brazil from 1996 to 2003. He was First Secretary, and Counselor of Department for Party-related Affairs, MFA from 2003 to 2007. He was once appointed as Deputy Director General of Department of Latin American and Caribbean Affairs and Minister Counselor at Chinese Embassy in Brazil from 2007 to 2014.
