Set Up Platforms to Promote Infrastructure Connectivity

The 5th International Infrastructure Investment and Construction Forum was successfully opened on May 8th in Macao. Mr. Chui Sai On, Chief Executive of Macao SAR Government, Mr. Zhang Xiangchen, Minister Assistant of Ministry of Commerce, Ms. Qiu Hong, Vice Director of Liaison Office of the Central People’s Government in the Macao SAR Government and Mr. Cai Siping, Deputy Commissioner of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the People’s Republic of China in the Macao SAR Government co-hosted the Opening Ceremony, and 40 government ministerial officials from 23 countries and regions witnessed the opening of this year’s forum.
Mr. Zhang Xiangchen, Minister Assistant of Ministry of Commerce, Mr. Stjepan Mesic, former President of Republic of Croatia, Mr. Stephen Hammond, Deputy Minister of Transport of UK, Mr. Denys Denya, Executive Vice President of African Export-Import Bank and Mr. John M. Scott, Vice Chairman of KPMG International delivered Keynote Speeches over the theme “Infrastructure Connectivity Provides New Impetuses for International Cooperation”.
37 ministerial officials from 23 countries and regions, senior management from 30 international financial institutions, including the African Export Import Bank, Asian Development Bank and Inter-American Development Bank and 17 trade associations, including the Confederation of International Contractors’ Associations, Romanian Association of Building Contractors and Master Builders Association of Malaysia, as well as contractors, equipment manufacturers, and representatives of industry service providers from more than 50 countries and regions, with the number of participants totaling well over 1,000.
