A different look at the infrastructure investment and construction: from the economic development perspective

The 7th International Infrastructure Investment and Construction Forum was held on June 2nd ,2016, which had been attended by 46 distinguished ministerial guests from 36 countries, and more than 1400 representatives from over 600 international institutions, contractors, consulting companies of the international infrastructure investment and construction field.

As the keynote speaker of the keynote speeches, Justin Yifu Lin, Former Senior Vice President and Chief Economist of the World Bank, Professor and Honorary Dean of National School of Development, Director of Center for New Structural Economics at Peking University stated that firstly, infrastructure was essential to economic development; secondly, it was the best time for infrastructure; and thirdly, the investment fund of infrastructure development required financial innovation.
